If you're struggling right now and need someone to talk to then I can help. Entering therapy can feel daunting and finding the right therapist equally overwhelming with so much choice. Let me tell you more about me and my approach.

What I can offer you

Hello, I’m Neil. I’m a psychotherapeutic counsellor based in the heart of Leicester City. I offer a safe, comfortable, and confidential space where you can share what’s going on and where you will really be heard.

I work with adults (18+) and I'm trained in an approach called Psychosynthesis. This unique approach uses various techniques to help you overcome personal challenges, achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, and support real personal growth.  As well as offering talking therapy, I use other effective tools including meditation, mindfulness, body/feelings work and creative art materials, if and when it feels right for you.

My practice is just above a coffee shop in Leicester where you can (if you wanted to) buy yourself a beverage before coming up to see me.

I am fully insured and a registered member of BACP and UKCP and bound by their standards of practice.

Some of the issues I can help with:

  • Depression, Anxiety and Stress

  • The impact of Trauma/Crises

  • Addiction or feeling trapped in recurring patterns

  • Struggles in relationships

  • Loss and bereavement

  • Struggles with identity

  • Low self-esteem and confidence

  • Issues around shame and/or guilt

  • Loss of purpose and direction

  • Feeling lonely or empty

  • Spiritual dilemmas and Crises

About me

Being a 'sensitive kid' growing up, I often felt misunderstood and saw this aspect of me as my greatest weakness. Yet, through my own journey of personal growth, I now regard it as my greatest strength, a part of me that has shaped a career helping and supporting others.

I have over 25 years of experience working in children and family social care. From this, I have gained significant insight into childhood and teenage trauma and its impact later on in life on how we see ourselves, how we see the world and how we behave in relationships with others.

Alongside my private practice, I am also an associate with Rutland House, a psychotherapy and counselling service in Leicester.

I love nature, walking and discovering new places!
